Verskeie avontuur– en kurrikulumgerigte aktiwiteite:

Pionierservaring:

Pioneer experience:

How excited children can get when you suggest that they dress up like Voortrekkers from way back then. And to make it even better you ask them to do activities that those people did, like roasting coffee beans, grinding the beans, making dough to bake “roosterkoek” and best of all making their own fire. This is exactly what we do with the learners. They even get to smear the floors with cow dung and build a shelter with clay and stone. The only witness of their experience are the photos that they take home.

Hindernisbane:

Obstacle courses:

Learners experience victory in a lot of areas e.g. heights, enclosures, etc...

Kameelritte:

Camel rides:

Learn more about the camel. What does he really carry on his back? Is it water or fat? Ride a camel and find out what an interesting animal it really is.

Bootritte:
Lekker pret op die plaasdam.

Boat rides:
Fun on the farm dam.

Spanbouspele:

Team building games:

Team spirit and team building. See what happens to your class or year group. Learners learn how to motivate one another and work together as a team.

Probleemoplossingsbane:

Problem solving courses:

What do you do when you are trapped in a burning building high up in the air? Below you is the main road. You only have limited resources to use. Nobody must be left behind. You can do it if you work together as a team.

Brugbou:
Kom wees deel daarvan.

Bridge building:

Learners get the chance to apply the knowledge they have learned in technology class. Be part of it!

Skuilingsbou:

Shelter building:

It is very cold; the wind is blowing outside and you have stayed from your group. You need a shelter for the night. All you have to use is material from trees and so on. How will you do it?

Boesman-kultuuruitstappies:

Bushmen cultural experience:

An evening with the Bushmen. Story telling by a well known figure in the Klein Karoo. Learners experience all of this in a cave in the Swartberg Mountains. A fire is made and typical Bushmen food is prepared.

Xhosa-kultuurervaring:
Baie aanskoulik!

Xhosa cultural experience:

Nothing better than experiencing it first hand. A group of Xhosa women tells stories about their culture, dances, and demonstrates a traditional wedding and more. Wonderful to see!

Grotkruip:

Caving:

Crawl around in caves where you don’t usually find people. Learners make use of head lamps and are escorted by a guide. Just the thing for adrenaline junkies.
